Today What Went Well Was:
In Literacy we started new non fiction articles in a national geographic magazine that we received from our field trip. In Math we started to look at equivalent fractions and compared fractions using fractions circles. In Social Studies we looked at Voyageurs during the fur trade. Agenda Message: Fun Lunch forms were sent home today. March and April news letters were sent home today. Please remember to be reading 10-20 minutes each night.

Today we were fortunate enough to attend the Arts Commons for a field trip. We saw a presentation and heard some amazing stories from National Geographic wildlife photographer Bertie Gregory.
In the afternoon, we wrote reflections about our experience this morning. We also worked on a class number line and erected converting decimals to fractions. We finished up our Literacy booklets on the explorers and fur trade. We had a mini olympics with students from the UofC until the end of the day. Agenda Message: - Please return any field trip forms on Monday if you want to be able to participate on our field trip. - Thank you for your flexibility again with the consent forms. - Our field trip to the Arts Commons is on Monday. In Literacy we continued with our non-fiction article. In Math we practiced putting showing decimals on a hundreds chart and then converting to fractions. In Social studies we chatted about our Change Maker mural we will be starting soon. In Science we experimented with magnetic and non magnetic surfaces within the classroom and recorded our findings. Agenda Message: - Unfortunately our consent forms went missing so each child that has already returned one has been sent home with another. Please have these returned by tomorrow. - Thank you for your flexibility! - Tomorrow we have a mini olympics from 10:30- 11:30. - Our field trip to the Arts Commons is on Monday.
